BluePine Living launches Affordable Housing offering in England

September 4, 2025

Registered Provider BluePine Living has launched its affordable housing platform in England, with ambitions to deliver high-quality and sustainable new homes through social rent, affordable rent and shared ownership, underpinned by a customer-centric approach across all areas of its operations.

BluePine Living is backed by strong institutional funding and led by a senior team of housing specialists with a proven track record in the for-profit and not for-profit affordable housing sector. It is investing in S106 and in time, grant-funded housing acquired from SME, regional and national housebuilders across England.

Customer service is a priority for BluePine, with all homes professionally managed in partnership with Pinnacle Group, ensuring each property is move-in ready and well maintained. Customers also benefit from digital conveniences that simplify rent payments, repairs and tenant communication via one streamlined platform. 85% of homes will include private outdoor space, with customers’ physical and mental wellbeing at the heart of BluePine’s offering. Over the next six years, BluePine Living is targeting for 50% of its homes to achieve EPC A ratings and from 2026, for all homes to be fossil fuel free, helping to keep customers’ utility bills low and reinforcing its commitment to environmental responsibility.

David Cook, CEO of BluePine Living, comments: “We want to deliver homes for families that truly serve their needs and are fit for purpose. With strong institutional capital support we can make a material difference in this country’s affordable housing needs and deliver a service to our customers which is of the highest quality. We’re providing new homes where people can thrive; our goal is to show that affordable housing can be both sustainable and aspirational.”

Mark Wall, Chair of BluePine Living, comments: “We know that we need more homes in this country, and the government can’t do that alone.  We need new investment to build high quality sustainable and affordable homes for families.  With our team’s experience and expertise in the housing sector and with institutional backing we can make a real difference.  We already have a robust and healthy pipeline, and are determined to provide thousands of good quality energy efficient homes for rent and shared ownership in the next few years.”

BluePine Living works closely with local authorities to provide a tailored approach to addressing housing demand in different locations. In addition, it is seeking investment partner status with Homes England to convert private units into affordable tenures, further strengthening its ability to deliver meaningful supply at pace and scale.

Two and three-bedroom shared ownership homes are currently available in Worcestershire, with more homes available later this year in Suffolk and Warwickshire.
